Amory had been looking forward to our little camping trip to Cornwall for weeks now, and it was such a pleasure to see him have so much fun over the three days.

We set off on Thursday evening and despite the travel planner telling us it would take fiver hours, we managed to get to Rock in just over four. We left at 7:30 from London and surprisingly for the school holidays, the roads were very clear.
We laughed so much when we heard the following two voicemails that I received from Pilar, our Nanny, and followed shortly afterwards from Amory.
To give you the background, I was down on the south coast …..
When the weather forecast shows gales blowing in at force 7 and sun coming out in the afternoon, warm water, 18oC air temperature….. and you are in the UK, you don’t need much to convincing to take a day off work and head down to West Wittering for a days kite surfing.
There are probably only one or two days a year with conditions like this. Today will partially make up for the dire wind down in Tarifa when I really only got out for two good sessions on two days out of 14.
Just beautiful.
After a couple of weeks of the tiring task of interviewing for a new Nanny, what could be better than to get out of town for a hot summer weekend at Harriet and Alan’s.
Now there’s a headline you don’t usually see!
Apparently the creature is pretty good at predicting the winners. Time to put all your money on Spain I think!
This summer is turning out to be a real stunner! It’s the first time in a very long time that Wimbledon has passed without any rain and the temperatures have been in the 80′s for the last few weeks now.
I’m not sure I want this blog to be political, but the story of Linda Carty, due to be executed in a Texas jail shortly, is truly staggering. Whether she is guilty or not is of little relevance to the situation. The circumstances surrounding the trial are bizarre and she has simply not had a fair trial.
If you replaced America with Iran or similar country, you might accept it, but America? I would not want to be put through the Texas legal system without a lot of money on my side.

So….. Back in London after two lovely weeks in Tarifa with Mum, Kerry, Pilar and the boys.
